على الرغم من وقوع فلسطين جغرافيا في منطقة الشرق الاوسط وعلى الرغم من كون الثقافة السياسية الفلسطينية بعناصرها القومية من لغة وحضارة وتاريخ متشابهة مع تطور الثقافة السياسية الوطنية في الدول العربية المجاورة الا ان تطور الهوية الوطنية الفلسطينية يختلف عن تطور الهويات الوطنية للدول المجاورة في التحرر من الاستعمار البريطاني والفرنسي في النصف الثاني من القرن ال ١٩. ويعود هذا الاختلاف الى اسباب عديدة منها مرور فلسطين والقضية الفلسطينية بمراحل تاريخية مختلفة بشكل جذري وفي مقدمتها الاستعمار الاستيطاني للارض وللهوية القومية التاريخية لفلسطين . في المقابل فان تمسك الشعب الفلسطيني بحقوقه الوطنية وبانتماءه لفلسطين ساهم في بلورة الفكر القومي الفلسطيني تارة بشكل تابع للبرامج السياسية الوطنية العربية وتارة بشكل مستقل او حتى منافس لهذه السياسات تحت شعار Read more…

المقدمة:
في الشرق الاوسط يوجد الكثير من المعضلات والمشاكل السياسية، ويوجد ايضا به الكثير من اللاعبين السياسيين الذين يؤثرون على الساحة العالمية بشكل عام وعلى الساحة الاقليمية بشكل خاص، كما ان المعتقدات والعادات والدين يوجد لها اهمية كبيرة في رسم الخارطة السياسية في منطقة الشرق الاوسط خاصة وان غالبية سكان الشرق الاوسط من المسلمين لذا فان دينهم واحد لكن يوجد لديهم عادات تتفق في نواحي وتختلف في نواحي اخرى، فمن اهم اللاعبين السياسيين في المنطقة هم الاسلاميون والاحزاب والحركات والجمعيات الاسلامية والتي ترفع الاسلام كشعار لحل المعضلات التي يمر بها الشرق الاوسط ولخلق مجتمع اخلاقي ومتزن ومتطور ويروا في الاسلام الحل الوحيد والاوحد لهذه المعضلات، كما وان الاسلاميين الحديثيين ارادوا اجراء اصلاحات داخل النظام الاسلامي السياسي. The Middle East Post presents for you a remarkable academic research written by Dr. Omar Badrieh about the Multifaceted Security Concepts of the Israeli-Palestinian Negotiations toward a final agreement.
The Research searches for the relation between security concepts and the negotiations process between Israel and the Palestinians. The research has an introduction in English and is written in Arabic. Dr. Omar Badrieh has a P.H.D in Middle Eastern Studies from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, involved in educational projects and gives consultants about the Israeli affairs and the Israeli Palestinian conflict.

This is the first Academic Research which the Middle East Post publishes on it pages. The research studies the Palestinian security forces situation since the signing of Oslo agreement and until the Hamas take over of Gaza.
Professor Oren Barrack about the seminar paper: “This is an interesting paper that discusses the relationship between the civilian and security
realms in the Palestinian Authority (PA) from the Oslo Agreement to Hamas’s takeover of Gaza. Theoretically, it employs Huntington’s book from 1957 on civil-military relations and Barak & Sheffer’s “security network” approach. Empirically, the paper draw mostly on interviews conducted with former PA security officials. The paper reads well, though there are, occasionally, some errata. It also presents several interesting insights regarding the civilsecurity
relationship in the Palestinian Territories during the Oslo period, particularly
regarding the lack of professionalism and the informal ties that existed between security officials and Fatah, businessmen, and foreign actors and the way they obstructed “objective” civilian control there, in addition to Israel’s involvement. This helps explain the weakness of the Palestinian security apparatuses in that period.
